Sources of Vitamin B12 :

The only organisms to produce vitamin B12 are certain bacteria and archaea. Bacteria are found on plants that herbivores eat; they are taken into the animal's digestive system and form part of their permanent gut flora, producing vitamin B12 internally.

So you can say that you will only get this vitamin from animals. The people who categories under non-vegetarian have no problem regarding this vitamin as they will get it from meat, eggs, fish, etc. But this vitamin creates a huge problem for vegetarians as we know most people in India are so close to their religion that they will never eat kinds of stuff like this. On the other hand, there are supplements which carry vitamin B12 but most of the people ignore it because they don't think it is a disease or may they can't afford extra expenses which creates health problems for them in the long run of life
